Serious legal issues require more than technical knowledge. They require perspective, preparation, and disciplined strategy.
Hillson Law was founded to provide thoughtful legal counsel to individuals, business owners, and property investors facing important decisions and complex situations. Whether resolving disputes, structuring business interests, navigating real estate matters, or planning for the future, our focus is steady guidance and strategic positioning.
We believe legal representation should be clear, deliberate, and aligned with long-term goals, not reactive or driven by unnecessary conflict.
About Hillson Law
Meet the Founder
Robert Hillson represents clients in civil and commercial disputes, real estate matters, and business-related issues with a focus on preparation, leverage, and durable outcomes. He approaches legal problems strategically, with clear communication and disciplined execution from start to finish.
Robert is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, Florida, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Vermont along with the federal courts in MA, NH, and CT.
He has experience representing clients on both the plaintiff and defense sides of civil litigation. He brings a practical understanding of how disputes unfold, how transactions are structured, and how legal decisions affect broader financial and operational realities.
A Perspective Beyond the Court Room
In addition to his legal practice, Robert is a licensed real estate broker, active investor, and serial entrepreneur. This experience provides insight into how deals function, how assets are structured, and how risk is managed outside of litigation.
That perspective informs every matter handled at Hillson Law, balancing legal strategy with practical, business-minded judgment.
Who We represent

Our clients value steady counsel, clear guidance, and strategic thinking, whether resolving disputes, structuring business interests, navigating real estate matters, or planning for the future through their estate.
Our Philosophy
Not every dispute requires escalation. Not every disagreement belongs in court. We evaluate risk, leverage, cost, and long-term consequences before taking action. Litigation is a tool — not a reflex.
We begin by listening and understanding objectives.
We evaluate exposure, leverage, and practical considerations.
We act deliberately, whether negotiating, structuring, or litigating when necessary.
We maintain clear communication throughout. The goal is always the same: clarity, protection, and forward progress.
Our Approach
Preparation.
Strategy.
Resolution.
Preparation. Strategy. Resolution.
